  1. Spelling is not my best trait😊 Herring on the Hudson River near Albany NY. Short season but a 30lbs fish is a lot of fun. Use the herring for bait
  2. Best I have done is 5 Heron at once on a fly rig I tied. Can make a slow day Stripper fishing a lot of fun.
  3. Mine will be in the mail tommarow will PM you with my address. Thanks for hosting makes for a nice xmas supprise
  4. I need address to they should be in mail sometime this week
  5. Nice job not getting a space between wire wraps is the hardest part of this fly. Peak should handle 16 just fine. My griffin goes from 24 to 0/1 without a issue I would think the Peak would too. Try a few simple midge and the 16 will seem big.
  6. Got mine today real nice set! Really liked this swap and learned a lot along the way thanks BB for hosting.
  7. JD mine are in the way. Went In mail yesterday. Should be to you be Saturday
  8. Sometimes I wonder why I put waders on:). All I can say are leak are not my only problem. But that's what happens when you push the limits. I am learning as I get older
  9. I am in will do a set of trout and round them out with some panfish bass flys.
  10. JD could you send me your address I am almost ready to send. Sounds like your mail is full
  11. Spade hackle can be gotten from Charlie Collins give him a call to see if he has what you are looking for
  12. I would like in on this one. Always being told by guilds I run into that they are taking the small ones. It's time to add them to my box and see if I do any better. Figure this would be a good place to start. For anyone thinking these are too hard here is my 1st size 24. It was easy for a guy that likes 18s with bad eyes. Hope we can get a full swap. Any thoughts on my 1st one don't worry I have tough skin..
  13. Henrik all comments well noted. Would like to thank you on the review of all the flys in this swap! Your input has really helped me judge my flys and make improvements.
  14. Got mine the other day along with the fall copy of fly tyre mag. Good day for mail all flys looked great and will get put to good use. Special thanks to Stilis for step by step to divide wings now I know what I was doing wrong Thanks. Anyone looking for good discription of game birds and hackle color should check out the fall FT. Lots of good info and nice patterns.
  15. I am in for the next round. I hear what you are saying about wings on mine. I use deer belly hair which flared easily but it does float well. Might not have been best choice of material
  16. Mine will be in the mail Monday or Tuesday sorry I am late guys! Life (work) kind of got in the way and I lost track of time
  17. 1st off let me say really cool and I am impressed with workmanship wish I had those skills. Not knowing what kind of glass I would guess the hardness is close to stainless most ceramics are about 3 times as hard. I am guessing it will work fine I have never wore out a stainless bobbin. I am thinking there is a custom market out there what's your weapon of choice
  18. Guys 1st off nice job by all. Double vision is getting better so I promise to challenge myself with the next set. BB would a Wulff pattern work or are you going for more of a Catskills dry?
  19. Mine will be in the mail Monday. Kind of lost track of time sorry I am pushing due date.
  20. Flys have hatched and are in the mail. Should have them by Tues.
