Try UNi and UTC70 and see which you like best. UTC will lie flat the more I use it the more I like. Can't go wrong with UNI0/8 when just getting started I still use it a lot. Only need a few colors to get started

Got mine today nice job by all. Hendrik you are right on the mark with all comments. Learning a lot in this swap and hopefully gaining some skills. Next round will be a challenge for me but I love the idea. Remind me of when I was young and the fly's my dad used. Thanks for reminding me what a great dad he was!!

Mine are in the mail. Sent a few extra that work well when Gills and Bass are rising on my pond, as a thanks for hosting. Eye issue is 6th nerve parelyis and Doc said it should correct its self with time. Go back to see him end of week hopfuly he will have good news. Thanks for your prayers

BB will mail mine this weekend. Been dealing with double vision but luckily I got flies done before issue started. Seeing Doc next week so I will keep you posted if I can do round 3 or not. Tying right now is hard to say the least.

Dubs wanted to let you and all others know I have desired to drop out of this swap. Its just to hard to tie at this time. Never realized how much depth perception is need. Want to thank all to interdusing me to this type fly. Eyes are a little better but I think it won't be until march before I get back to beanch

To all I have been seeing double since the new year and to say the least it has made tying hard. Doc says it will get better in 4-6 weeks but I want to give a heads up that I may have to drop out. I give it another week and see how I am doing before I make a decision. I really hate to go back on my promise but it may not be doable. Takes me at least 30min to tie just a tail end.

Got mine today and very pleased by work of all. Henrik your comments are well thought out on mine and others flys and really help. This is just what I was hoping for.

BB good point on the postage if you tell them what you are doing they will put stamps on the inside envelope. You did a great job with critique on all the flys. I would say you have some of the same treats as mine. Ribbing could be a little more even, I think on mine the the issue started with not being consistent with the width of the dubbing when I applied it. Other then that thorax could be a little more defined. 2 issue I struggle with but nice proportions I am sure the fish will it them right up. Can't wait to get a nice set of flys in the mail god job by everyone!

I use River Data it pulls USGS gage readings, also use Tide data. What Knot has good step by step if you need help with knots

So I am in I the Articulated nymph swap and I have never tyed this type fly so I have a few question. Proportion of the body is the hard part do you include the hook eye and tye in when figuring length? Or do you just make it the normal length. Here my fist try all feed back is welcome. One more thing how tight should the back be to the front hook. By the way there are still openings in the swap

Think I will contact them. I believe the issue is that the brass tube turns and that changes the angle of the thread going into the ceramic tube. Tube seems to be flush with brass and thread rubs on brass. I here a lot of good about these bobble so I think I will contact them. Thanks for the input I keep you posted on how I make out.
