  1. Oh I forgot to mention ! I am going up north to northern MICHIGAN. sorry about that .
  2. Thanks again one more time guys I am learning a lot and starting to get an idea of what I am going to order. I just did some searching and have one final question and then I will be out of your hair and done asking questions for good ( promise ). You mentioned you want a strong hook. Ive looked around and found two hook styles that might be good. Ill post photos. I found they are both SABER brand. one is#7057 salmon egg hook 2x strong 5x short and the other is #7323 steelhead salmon hook 3x strong 3x short and forged. I wanted to see your opinion on which of these two options would best suit me. Please let me know what you guys think. And thanks for reading this I look forward to your replies. Thanks and tight lines!
  3. Thank you for the info. I own one glo bug that I really like and would like to replicate but I am not sure about the size. I believe it is a size #6 maybe you can help me out on the size are your size 8s or 10's smaller than the one in the photo I posted below?
  4. I am curious to what sizes you guys typically tie for salmon in your fall season. I am going salmon fishing with my father for the first time and I am lost on how big or how small I should tie my glo bugs. If anyone has any comments on the subject I would love to hear them and see what you love to tie up to catch these amazing fish.
  5. HI everyone. My name is Josh. I am a young angler new to fly fishing and am about to go up on my first salmon trip up north to fish for kings with my father very soon. I plan on buying some hooks to tie glo bugs for king salmon as I hear they are pretty easy to tie. I do not have any fly shops to personally buy glo bug hooks from so I am forced to order them online. I am ordering some soon but the hang up is that I have never personally bought glo bug hooks and do not know how big or small they run . I was wondering if anyone could steer me in the right direction and let me know of good sizes for fishing for kings. I am afraid I will order too small or way too big. I also wanted to ask your opinion on two styles of hooks I found they are both SABER brand. one is#7057 salmon egg hook 2x strong 5x short and the other is #7323 steelhead salmon hook 3x strong 3x short and forged. I wanted to see your opinion on which of these two options and sizes would best suit me. Please let me know what you guys think. And thanks for reading this I look forward to your replies. Thanks and tight lines!
