I'm just beginning. Found the Atlas for $129 shipped. Recommended to me by several experienced tiers. It hit the sweet spot of what I was looking for. Great vice so far. Base is super heavy so it stays put. Comes with a table clamp so you have that option too. Jaws will hold anything you put into it. From what I understand many others require different jaws for the larger or micro midge hooks. Lifetime warranty. It has been described as the Mil-spec of vises.
