  1. No worries Steve, I always try to post a photo of the flies I get back
  2. I just have empty boxes, without an 'X'. This is on my laptop.
  3. Sorry to hear you lost two fish and one rod, Mark, but am I an asshole for laughing out loud for the last five minutes at the picture your story created in my head? Good thing I'm working from home today.
  4. Interesting, looks a little like a Crappie. Did you keep and eat it?
  5. Thanks for the update Darrell, looking forward to receiving them.
  6. Looks good, glad to have the site back up.
  7. Received a great set of flies yesterday. Thanks for hosting BB, and thanks also to the participating tiers. Can't wait to try them out. Just purchased a new camera, have to figure out how to increase the depth of field, so excuse the flies that are a bit out of focus.
  8. I'm not sure about value for me, but there is alot of satisfaction.
  9. Looks like there's a few hairwings already, so I'll be tying up some Henryville Specials.
  10. I don't have one, but I have seen a few go at auction within the last few months:. https://tinyurl.com/v7bqvg4 https://tinyurl.com/uceyndy
  11. Thanks for the update. I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for the loot to arrive.
  12. I try to do what I can with the hair stacker, but since it doesn't do a real good job of it, I'll further even the ends by hand. Or I'll use a synthetic like Flat Rock Native if I have it in the right color.
  13. I'd like to take part again, please. Probably a Wulff fly, will have to check my supplies before I decide which style.
  14. Nice ties, but is looks like you stole my coffee mug.
  15. +1 on that thought. Some great creative flies posted here.
  16. Mine hit the PO today, check PM for tracking #. Thanks for hosting Doc, enjoyed tying those and it gave me a reason to buy a chartreuse bucktail.
  17. Thanks BB, glad you like them. I can tie a few more up and send them to you, just let me know the size.
  18. Stealth Bombers, ready to go out tomorrow.
  19. My flies went out today. Thanks for hosting the swap BB.
  20. I picked up a similar on a while back, but it was so frustrating to tie with I threw it in the bottom of one desk drawers and haven't touched it since. Great idea using them as legs, denduke.
  21. Thank goodness my dog and cats don't touch my stuff, even the fur and feathers I harvest. My tying desk is a big ole mess most of the time, with feathers, flies, yarn, hooks, and fur flung all over the joint.
  22. I only keep a fish (trout only) under certain circumstances: if I damaged the fish in some way and it won't survive, when camping, or when I know I'll be visiting my Dad soon after, as he loves trout. So maybe 3-4 times per year, and I fish several times/week in the warm months. And I never keep any pan-fish or Bass. Last year I was fishing for the first time with my new brother in law, who's from Pennsylvania. I pulled in a slab of a Crappie and he nearly had a heart attack when I threw her back. LOL.
