  1. Thanks to all who replied. I really do appreciate the feedback.
  2. Will try some in black also. Thinking the CDC hackle might be too long?
  3. Well, unlike Walt’s Worm that utilizes hares ear dubbing as the body, this is peacock hurl . Otherwise, you could say it’s pretty similar.
  4. Looks like a fun fly to tie. And thanks for the additional tips on how to fish it.
  5. Thanks for the input. That's a good idea and something I will certainly try.
  6. It's a Hareline plummeting tungsten bead 3/32" in gold. Purchased it at a local fly shop along with the other materials.
  7. Size 18 zebra midge with an ice dub UV black collar. Got a touch heavy with the dubbing. Oh, well.
  8. Prince nymph. I could replce it with split shot and get better results.
  9. In my area, a zebra midge fishes year round so that'd be my choice.
  10. Greetings from Central Oregon. New to fly tying but the intro class I took got me hooked. Spend my time chasing trout on the Deschutes, Crooked and Fall rivers primarily. Tightlines everyone.
