  1. Thanks Jaydub. I'm admittedly bad about using a hair stacker (laziness I suppose). I'll dust it off and give it a try on the next few I tie. And looking at the pattern again, I absolutely agree regarding the hackle. I didn't realize how short it was. Thank you again. Chris
  2. Another one while I wait to see if TS Marco is going to bother showing up this afternoon. Size 1 Gamakatsu Stinger with MS Bugger Dubbing and Northern Lights flash from a recent Fly Tyers Dungeon order I made.
  3. Working on my Stimulators a bit. Tail is a bit longer than intended on this one, but otherwise I'm relatively happy. Any tips on improvement from the pros? Chris
  4. I'm interested if I meet the qualifications. I'd qualify myself as intermediate. Learned to tie (poorly) as a child, but only got back into it about two years ago. Not sure what I'd tie yet, but I can come up with a few options. Chris
  5. Hey guys, Just wanted to share a recent step-by-step I put together. The cajuns refer to these as "Fluff Butts," but I've always known them as crappie jigs even when tied as flies. Any input would be appreciated as I'm trying to make these as useful as possible for anyone that stumbles across them on the web. https://fatfingeredflytyer.com/the-fluff-butt-a-simple-crappie-jig-step-by-step-tying-series/ Thanks Chris
  6. Thanks! That thought actually crossed my mind, but I admittedly don't have any jungle cock at the moment.
  7. New guy here. I've been targeting spotted bass in small streams quite a bit lately and decided to try tying a Longear Sunfish patterned Lunch Money to match the hatch. Planning to test it out sometime in the next few days. Chris
