  1. Just tied this caddis fly and thought it looked both good and bad at the same time. What do you guys think?
  2. I had seen many pictures of the james wood bucktail and heard it was a good crappie fly so I decided to change it a bit and made a great crappie fly. It can catch many different sunfish and bass species.
  3. What are your favorite flies for locating fish. Mine are the leadwing and royal coachman. Just wanting to know what I should tie to find and catch more fish.
  4. Bass on the fly is something else. I've caught some 14 to 16 inchers on the fly and they just fight like crazy.
  5. I tied all of these on size six wet fly hooks but they can be tied on many sizes. All the thread is 6-0. The first one: Thread: Olive Tail: Olive feather tip Body: green dubbing Hackle: Large soft hackle feather, Olive The second one: Thread: Olive Tail: Olive hackle feather strands Body: Olive dubbing Hackle: Olive hackle feather The third one: Thread: Black Tail: Black feather tip Body: yellow dubbing Hackle: Orange hackle feather All of these will float some when first cast but are fished much better below the surface.
  6. These are my 3 best patterns for warmwater fishing. I have caught many panfish and bass on these. The large wet fly shown is my favorite bass fly, I feel that the green dubbing against the olive hackle causes it to be noticeable but not too bright.
