Back issues always take forever to recover, hopefully you'll be just fine Had my shoulder(rotator cuff tear) operation last Fall, still recovering(probably going to take another 3-4 month to regain at least 80% range of motion). Hurt like hell in first few month to be honest and worst part is that I had to learn to sleep on my back.

Which brass are you using usually Steel? Been trying to find some decent quality but it's either out of stock lately or overpriced as hell.

I've been using Rapala and Russels, but honestly, as long as you keep the edge sharp, any fillet knife should work just fine. It's a question of how long those gonna keep edge compared to alternatives
