  2. You are not the only one. I've been getting the error message for 3 days. Maybe the admin folks will see this thread and fix it. Did anybody report this problem?
  3. nice job on the table. as long as you are comfortable using it, that's all that matters i would mount the vise in the middle rather than on the left like you have it now

  11. I think each grower has their own following of fly tyers I have some older Henry Hoffman saddles that I use for dries as well as whiting I have some kehough hackle that ive used for saltwater and streamer flies I have some no name brands that I use for bass poppers I still have older metz and spencer hackle from the early 80's (that's all I could afford back then + the Chinese hackle) I use Chinese hackle for streamer wings I tried the conranch brand but but didn't really like them a lot of tyers like the Collins brand I think it all breaks down to what youre tying theres a lot of good hackle growers out there. you just need to take off your whiting blinders! for me I like different flavors of koolaid
  12. 2 part system the breathers are tied on the tippet making the "bowtie" the fly is tied as shown when fished the fly will hang just below the surface here is an excellent video on sawyers flies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNTYshKw2-A
  13. yup nothing wrong with the hook! tyers preference!
  14. 2) As for hair spinning on the shank, I do not glue in between each clump/bundle of hair and have not had this issue. I actually used a bass bug over the weekend that hadn't been used in at least a year. I caught two bass on it and missed a few more, the body of the bug never budged. All I do between bundles is half hitch and have not had heads rotate. that kinda makes you wonder why everybody else has a problem

  20. krystal flash may not be the optimum material for ribbing but it can be used flattened or not it still will reflect light. regular flat tinsel does twist a few strands into a rope use holographic tinsel or even round, oval or embossed tinsel for ribbing or mini flat braid or iridescent threads it can be done. be creative. experiment
