When i sit down to tye I will put some music (Metallica) on grab a cold drink (coke) and i pull the ashtray up ... I always tidy the bench up from my last "project" and look over a few patterns i have recenlty tyed before i will put the hook into the vice.. I find I tye best or most focused at about 7am.. bright an early. Just wondered if any of you guys out there have a "system" you follow.

I fell back in my chair once while tying.. guess thats not the samething though..

When i get a call from someone on speaker .. I will play it off like i dont know, then throw something out just abit quicker than he/she can say anything like .. did you get that lice problem delt with, you know they can live in your couches an carpets for months ehh.. ? :headbang: say my name ...

IMO.. flies are different than most inventions, because they are based on existing "things" so theres only so far you can go with "inventing" them .. you can find a new species of fly or insect name that and then copy the pattern on a hook.. but these flies have existed before us. So in reality .. no one ever.. invented a fly, just copied the pattern, colour or action of an existing "thing" . The name you put on it represents your personal technique and choice of materials... just my 2cents..

Had alot of trouble with this guy, but thought I would post er up anyway.. I will be tying more of these in the near future.. Special thanks to Graham for that bada$$ step by step.. beautiful.. I need some critiquing so have at er guys(or girls) an let me know what you think can be improved.
