Based off Oliver Edwards Green Drake Mayfly. The Blue Wing Olive Hook: Partridge K3A Swedish Dry Fly #14 Thread: Power Silk Brown Tail: Golden Pheasant Body: Ligas Ultratranslucent Olive Dubbing Rib: Xtra-small Olive Ultra Wire Hackle: Cree Dryfly Wing: Puglisi EP Fibers 3-D Olive Thorax: Mix CDC and FTD Mr. Peacock I haven't tied on these hooks for sometime, but since I have been playing around with a bunch of various mayfly patterns, I decided to break out the Swedish Dries and give it a shot. Enjoy and Tight Threads. Chad

Anyone heading to Denver for the Flyfishing Retailer this weekend? Just curious how many will be walking the halls of the convention Center. Cheers

Ray, I tied the tail in then the biot and a bit of the dubbing. Then I tied the midge braid in, then hackle. (I was playing with a few different materials instead of the midge braid and settled in on the midge braid, since it wasnt too bulky and give it a small bit a flash. I tried mono, parachute post, thread and a few other things, but nothing worked the way I wanted it to and held the hackle the way I was expecting. So hence the Midge braid won out.) Wrapped the hackle up and down about a 1/4" on the braid. Pulled in back towards the tail and dubbed the thorax area and then pulled over the hackle/braid and tied off. Hope this helps.

I would say either Cliffs Bugger Barn or the Bugger Beast. Either one are really good for Streamers.

Nice Tie Ray. I like the look of it. -
I am going to vote other, because I seem do well with different colors, my favorite color is the Olive and Olive/black mix. I did really well with a burnt org/brown recently for little cuttys. Blue was a favorite of mine when I first started fishing the CJ. I like experiment with the various different color combos that are available. Try different colors and experiment with smaller sizes for those tailwaters you are now fishing.

I like it, very well done. Ill have to add a few of those to the box.
