  1. oh crap. thast right i moved it from my main photobucket album to my sub album. so that means i gotta go in and edit the url. i'll go do that.
  2. lookin good. should catch bass w/ that. not sure its a fly though .
  3. well i got all 11 of my one of a kind camo craws all tied up. im ready for an addy. here is a rather decieving picture of my fly. i say this because in the pic, it looks like there is palmered hackle along all the body, but its only along the front half. also the "carapace" of the fly is alot smoother than it looks. but anyway here it is:
  4. ok well i made a prototype and im very pleased with it. its a creation of my very own and i have deemed it the CAMO craw. its a very suitable name so that means IM IN
  5. nomad you forgot to include yourself in the list so really there are only 2 spots left im gonna do a materials check and i'll be back later w/ a verdict of if i can join or not.
  6. great! glad they got there so soon. and im glad you like them oh and on the very first one that i tied i accidently used white marabou because i didnt have the lights on and it looked grey to me , so one special person is gonna have a white fly, instead of a grey one
  7. ok got em mailed on 7/2/07. and im not one for walking/riding several miles down the highway to mail a package!!!
  8. man i have em all done i just cant get them sent out....cuz my mom wont take them to the post office! i hope i can get them out in time!
  9. hmmm i dont see any pictures....but mine wont be coming for a bit cuz the freakin construction pplz cut into out path of our normal route so now we got to go thru the thick weeds and mud and that messes up the brakes on the fourwheeler... :ripped:
  10. lol! i think i did quite nicely on mine...i was proud.....it just took FOREVER!!!! :cursing: but i dont mind! now if only i could get my mom to take me to the post office so i could send these things!!!
  11. ok i'll take pics the next time im down there. right now i dotn have the SD card for my camera (dad has it) and the batteries are charging.
  12. nice. well how big is your pond. mines a triangle and only the lower half of it is fishable and the whole thing is 2,500...if i did the math right. its got a base of 50 and a height of 100 so 50x100=5000 divided by two is 2,500. so yeah its onlly 2,500 square feet.
  13. lol!!! :hyst: :hyst: :hyst: no i cant see wher the bass hang out . and there is already plenty of wood cover for the bass to hang around. i will try a floater as that would dive the perfect depth for this pond.
  14. stony all you gotta do is make sure your hair is capable of spinning the hair is very thick...if its thin it wont spin) and just keep practicing!!!! spinning the hair is usually not the problem, its trimming it that can get tricky. spinning is just something you have to learn once, and keep practicng. trimming has so many variables and each pattern is different adn it takes experimentation. just keep trying, pack your hair tight, and dont take too much hair off at once!!! you can always take more hair off later, but you cant add any.
  15. WELL GUYS...GOOD NEWS!!!! we FINALLY got bass down there!!!! three bass...not much but i finally got travis to put bass in....he wanted something different than bluegills down there. i know its not much but now that ive got him to put some in we can go bass fishing and put some more bass in there. one of the bass was a whopping 19"!!! another a not bad 15" and the third a decent 12". the big one just kinda sat on the bottom right where i released it....it wasnt dead, but wasnt moving either. the other two swam off slowly. sadly one bass died in transport.....luckily it was the smallest of the 4. :nopity:
  16. yeah i took a can of corn down to the lake today and i didnt fish for bluegills much, but my friend was catchin em like crazy on it. the only time i fished for bluegills was to catch a tiny one for bait for bass!!! ive got bass fever...and the thing is ive been bass fishing for 2 or 3 years now
  17. wow that looks great! what about using yellow felt instead of foam, that way it would slowly sink instead of float? and do bluegills eat corn???
  18. i will most likely be sending mine out tomorrow.
  19. addy recieved! hope to get some awesome flies outta this one!
  20. well i hardly ever take my fly rod down there anymore. mainly because its a pain to get down there and i need a new leader adn none of the flies seem to work. i think what it is is its such a small pond that the commotion of the heavy fly line hitting the water scare them all away. its much easier and effecient to just bring my ultralite combo down tehre. now that thers minnows ill try some clouser minnows....they are still heavy enough for me to cast on my ultralite gear.
  21. well then in that case im done...send me your address so i can send them out.
  22. well i have 9 of them made, should i bother to make anymore...looks like theres only gonna be 10 ppl in this swap?
  23. you cant imagin how badly i want bass in there because i KNOW that that will greatly improve the fishign quality but my friend doesnt want bass in it because hes dumb and gets a kick out of catching fish after fish that are only 7" long. to me it becomes a chore, not a sport. its so boring down there. i think w/ some bass it would be more fun. and another thing, i have seen everysingle fish in that pond already, so the element of suprise is blown away. the only is that w/o him there is no way to transport fish down there. he has the fourwheeler and w/o that it would be a mile and a half walk thru steep hills carrying several bass and water...i dont think so. maybe ill talk him into it somehow. and ratface, thers not 40..thers like 100 somethin!
  24. o and some of the dace are big like about 3inches....is this too big for the bluegill to eat? most of them are in the 1.5-2" range, with only a few 1" or less.
