making sink tips

Hello, I am looking for bulk sinking line material to make different lengths of tips. Any suggestion?

Use Cortland LC-13. Cut the length you want and put braided loop connectors on each. Then loop to loop connect these to the end of floating fly line to transform the floating line so sink tip lines.

Or you can buy premade sinking polyleaders or versileaders.

The LC 13 looks like the ticket. Any suggestion on length? I am using the 

Wulff Ambush shooting head nine weight on a 9W rod for smallmouth bass in fast water.

I would use tungsten  rather than lead core. It does not kink like lead core can.

I'm pretty sure they are all made of tungsten now. That's what the "T" in the T series of sinking weight stands for.

I've made a few out of an old sinking line I had replaced.  Cut the line into different lengths and added braided loops to either end.  I haven't used them in a while, since I started using furled leaders on my floating line.  I have them around somewhere but it's probably quicker just to change the spools on my reels than it is to remove the furled leader and replace it with the sink tip.  I may dig them out an give them a shot when we go up to the Poconos in May.

You can also weld loops into your lines for loop-to-loop connections. The welded loop connection hinge less on the cast and they actually go through the rod guides better than the woven loops do. It's pretty easy to do. There are several tutorials on it on Youtube.
