Thread - 70 Ultra black

tail - gray UV ice dub

Body - moose mane one white one brown

Wings - Grizzly hackle tips

Hackle - Grizzly

Double Hot Spot

Hook - Mustad 3399, 3906 or equivalent

Thread - Hot orange

Rear hot spot - Tying thread

Body - Peacock herl

Collar - Dun hen hackle

Front hot spot - Tying thread

UV Resin coated head

Swipe the tying thread with crazy glue prior to wrapping the hot spot

Swipe the hook shank with crazy glue prior to wrapping the peacock herl forward

Add a wire or tinsel rib if desired

Decided to tie up a few larger Crease Flies yesterday afternoon.

Hook: Kona BGC (2/0)

Tail: SF Blend synthetic fibers

Body: 2-mm Craft Foam (Tan) colored with sharpies

Finish: UV resin

Install the eyes on the point side of the hook if you think its better.

A good fly for panfish and crappie

My first attempt at a clown shoe caddis. I think the next one I’m loosing the dubbing. I’m not really sure why it’s there. Critique away. 

Hook - size 12 caddis hook

Thread - veevus 12/0 black

Body - moose mane brown/white

Wing - fine short deer hair

clown shoe - McFlyfoam

Thorax - black dubbing

Hackle - grizzly

Clown shoe caddis #2. I used a smaller clump of hair and a slight bit more foam. 

Hook - size 12 caddis hook

Thread - veevus 12/0 black

Body - moose mane brown/white

Wing - bleached elk hair

clown shoe - McFlyfoam

Thorax - black dubbing

Hackle - grizzly

 Loan shoe caddis #3

I went sparser on the elk hair and used a different color clown shoe. I like it. Maybe I’ll move down to a 14 next.

 @Poopdeck those look  nice. When I tie 'em, and they sure do work I pull the McFly up tight and then clip it at the top of the hackle. It 'settles' right into the hackle. Go for that 14!

I’m looking forward to fishing them to see if I will keep them in the arsenal. Next one I’ll pull the foam up and let it snap back down after cutting. Thanks. I have a 14 already wrapped in moose mane and coated with sally Hanson laying in wait.
