They all look good, Poopdeck.  If I was picking them out of a fly store bin, I would go with the sparser and shorter winged ones like #2 and #4, but I like the look of the wing color on #1 the best.

I think I would try one with a snowshoe wing also, I'm kind of partial to that stuff with emergers.

Do they all have a dubbed thorax?

I have some gadwall, you want some? Teal and wood duck are great substitutes. Nice bug.

Sorry fellas, once the page turns I can’t go back without it being a process so I did not see your posts. all the ones pictured were dubbed but I have one where I forgot the dubbing. By my standards of it will fish, I find it exceptable.

Mark, once again I am humbled by your generosity but politely will decline your offer. Thank you though!

Banksai bug#2. I switched the green to a darker green 8/0 uni and it seems better. I’m going to stretch the body out a little more and make more of a bottle shape on #3.

Yep, I can't go back either. Those look great, even if they don't have gadwall in them.😀 You must have a slightly different recipe than Norms. They all look good to me.

I discovered the key to shape was magnification. It also helped to keep the wires together. I used olive PT fibers for the legs this time.

Ten days away from the vise so I’ll start with something familiar. Normally wouldn’t use an olive shoulder on a tan one but I was just shaking off cobwebs and the skin was sitting right there.

hook - WFC Model 6 #10
thread - Uni 6/0 tan
rib - small wire gold
body - Starburst dubbing tan
body hackle - ginger
shoulder - pheasant rump dyed olive
collar/head - pronghorn

Regards,
Scott

I have always found orange to be a certifiable fish catcher, and this fly is a winner for sure. Very nicely done.....
