Llano Bug

Recommended Posts

The Llano Bug was created by Kevin Hutchinson to fish the Llano river and some other South Texas rivers for bass and sunfish.  The species of bass here that is sought after the most is the Guadalupe bass.  But we also have largemouth bass and smallmouth bass, among some other species also.  A wide range of sunfish are in the various rivers and creeks in south Texas as well.  This fly seems to work wonders for all these warm water species.  However I suspect it will work great in most streams and creeks in the US, especially in the summer months when terrestrials like grasshoppers are out and about.  Trout should have no problem biting these flies, and I think you will have great luck with this pattern no matter where your fishing them.

I haven't watched the new video but is this substantially different than the you tube video you posted in November of 2019?

Yes, that video was just me talking at the camera, same camera angle and shot throughout.  This one is like most of my recent videos where I do voice over and change angles throughout.
