Chippewa River

Recommended Posts

My wife and I floated a section of the Chippewa River, Wisconsin yesterday. The river was low with the temperature being 75 degrees. Mostly sunny with temperature  in the low 80s. Stu from Hayward is a great guide and is very helpful and fun to fish with. Morning started slowly, we threw Murdiches, EPs, froggies, and others. We took an early lunch and were hoping a warming river would warm up the fish. It did. We caught a bunch of unders when we put on the Tequeely and they got bigger throughout the afternoon. Eight hours of fishing and six hours of driving made for a long day. I think I am going to watch some tennis this afternoon accompanied by a glass of Crown.

I will throw in a fish picture.

Here I thought you drifted the Chip to fish for Musky. Beautiful smallies. I fished some of the Chip years ago with my Dad and uncle but it was throwing out bobbers from shore with suckers for whatever bit. Remember a big dogfish when I was a kid and scared the hell out of me back then since it was my first.
