no shit! really. i know how to use the cap but the wire had other ideas 🤣

it happened when i removed the wire from under the cap on the end of the spool

I see that I'm not the only one this happens to. I have many spool that look just like that. It doesn't bother me anymore. danville wire is the worst for that, every spool does it.

Norm, I heard Charlie Craven say that's how the pros do it. That way they don't have to find the end of the wire every time they need some. 😉

Veesus wire has a double sided spool that lets you pull wire or thread into slot on the one side to keep control of it. Works quite well but I have a few Ultra that look like that. Just cut off what I think I'll need and let if mess up in drawer for wires.
