Zoran 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2022 British Columbia, Canada Zoran Vasic I am long time mountaineer and bikepacker. I bikepack long distances on singletracks, gravel and dirt backroads. Always carry my Winston fly rods and my tenkara with me. I grew up in Europe, in Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina close to rivers Moraca, Sava and Drina. My fishing started in early age with simple bamboo pole and bobber, then spin rods, but later I focused on alpinism and became a registered alpinist. After more than decade of active climbing in Europe, I climbed in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Poland, Slovakia and Italy. Then after Bosnian war we ended up in Canada. I made numerous alpine climbs and ski descents in British Columbia, Alberta, Oregon and WA State and participated in expeditions to West Buttress of Denali, Alaska and ski ascent of Mt. Logan, Yukon. Bikefishing British Columbia opened another world to me. Biking and fly fishing rivers like Cowichan, Elk, Salmon Rivers (Vancouver Island), St. Mary's, Elk, Michel Creek (East Kootenays BC) or my local river Skagit near Hope, BC gives me a great joy. I'm a born and bred central NYer, USA. I've been tying for over fifty years and hosting fly swaps for going on 12 years now. I hope that we cross paths here in the future.
