Capt Bob LeMay 0 Report post Posted October 29 We all live in such different places... I love good barbecue but down here in paradise I'm much more likely to head to the nearest Cuban restaurant for some ropa viejia (spanish pot roast) with black beans and rice... Trying regional food is one of life's great pleasures and my favorite part of travel. My wife and I have a rule to never eat at a chain restaurant when traveling and specifically look for the family owned places that the locals like. I ate at some great Cuban restaurants while in Miami. They were Cuban owned and staffed and the food was as authentic as it gets. The food was wonderful! Waif super model types don't buy enough Kale salad to keep the doors open but fettuccine alfredo- now your talking!!
