Guest Report post Posted March 28, 2023 Nice sharp photos. Never dove Vortex. Dove MorrisonSprings many times. Heard they dynamited some of the cave. Peeps were free diving to the air pocket 60’. Something about “bad air”. They closed it down for a few years; we’re selling the water. Now they got dive station, concession again. Lived down that way couple of years hit the dive boats in Destin every weekend. Did some bridge work. Made some night dives. Peeps were after the shells; I was after bulldozer lobster. I had a lil instamatic camera in a plexiglass case so my pics were marginal. Made a couple of trips to the Keys. I see you’re from Georgia. The best dive I could recommend is outa Destin. Called the “TimberHoles”. 30 miles due south of the tree line between FtWalton and Destin. All day charter, 120’ with rocks up to 75’, and closest place to find Langostas this far north.
