Dick opened (bent) the hook gap slightly for better hookups and gold was his favorite color. Also listed as Dicks Shinner by Rainy's A simple and effective pattern using thread, Bill's Body Braid and a little Krystal flash. Color variations are optional. Similar in nature to Chuck Kraft's Kreelex not sure who tied what first. Hook Mustad -3366 with bead head (some use longer shank nymph hooks), thread- hot orange, tail- red Krystal flash(sparse) with bills body braid tied flat cut to length and brushed out (toothbrush) Body- body braid wound to bead head. Hook- Mustad 3665A, thread- white for body switching to black for wing and head, tail- red hackle fibers, body- yellow floss with gold tinsel rib, wing- red fox squirrel tail, collar brown speckled hen tied collar style.
