vicrider 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2023 Not too long ago I used extra fly boxes from Christmas Swap, extra flies from that swap and others, and sent a couple of nice boxes to the secretary of Casting for Recovery. Got this note back and finally got a pic and will post it. Though i seems to be for me I did explain that everyone on the group had a part in this gift and the note should be shared by all. WWKimba 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2023 I don't have pictures but I made a small contribution to Jen and her program. Thanks to my swappers and me we sent just under 800 flies out in the mail Monday to help out, 33 dozen that I tied this past winter and 396 extras from my fly swap participants. According to the PO tracking, they should be arriving today. I truly enjoy helping programs like Casting for the Cure and Project Healing Waters for the fine work that they do and I would encourage others to do the same. Try tying up a dozen or so and support a site in your state. Simply log in to https://castingforrecovery.org/retreats/ to find a site near you and it will list the place and date(s) of when participants will be fishing. Then simply tie a pattern and send it to this address Jen Lofgren - Casting for Recovery 2543 S. Lincoln St. Unit B Denver, CO. 80210 You can ask that your flies be sent to your targeted site. I hope that this helps. Kim
DarrellP 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2023 I send most of my swap hauls to them, as well. Some I keep for patterns.
