SgtMaj Bob 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 I just got my flies in last night. This is my first swap and I’ll certainly be in more. Some of you are true artists with unbelievable skill; it makes me feel bad for sending the trash ties I made. I have a stone that has no toe tag (there is a loose toe tag with “W. Carp” on in so I’ll assume that’s who tied it). It is weaved with black and dark brown; it’s an amazing job! You’ve inspired me to practice weaving! The Steelhead Hammer by Tdeyette is great; I’ve never seen this pattern before! I’m going to look for that pattern. Hell, all of these flies are great. Thanks for all the fantastic ties everyone! S/F, Bob PS: I’ve been looking all over the house for my green fly box. I had sent it with my flies and was returned last night. It sucks getting old: no memory, eyesight shot (have to use 3x power reading glasses to tie), three-mile run exceeds 27 minutes, etc... Oh well, I guess it’s better than the alternative. Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 Glad the flies are starting to arrive to everyone. If you guys like Brents woven stonefly (and who doesn't ) then keep your eyes open for the Feb issue of Hatches, I think you'll like what's in it
