SalarMan 0 Report post Posted September 19 Late each afternoon we sit on our deck and enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine. About 75 to 100 yards behind the house is Country Club Road which at that hour is pretty busy. As I watch the vehicles I have taken notice of the breakdown of types, not including commercial types or school buses of course.. My casual observations show a distinct pattern of somewhere between 8 or 9 out of 10 vehicles are SUVs. During lunch at a regular spot of ours I could see perhaps 15 or so vehicles in the parking lot across the street. What I saw was 1 pickup truck, 2 sedans and the rest...you guessed it...SUVs. Nothing was an electric type, so from what I could see they were all gasoline powered. We drive 2 SUVs and I was wondering about the folks here...What do you drive? Poopdeck 0 Report post Posted September 20 You see SUV’s because sedans and mini vans are a thing of the past. The modern SUV is nothing more than a soccer mom station wagon. Personally I hate them and long for a new big old American sedan. I own a GMC Sierra 2500 P/U truck, a Subaru Outback and two Nissan Muranos. I know the car wash call the Subaru and the muranos SUV’s but they are closer to sedans to me, which is why I bought them.

A tired old 2004 Ford 150 with the dreaded Triton 5.4 and 175K basically trouble free miles. A 2024 Suburu Forester Touring edition with more bells and whistles than I can figure out. I had a sharp black Mustang coupe not too long ago but got to the point where I had to fall out of it and then get up from the ground. Need a vehicle seat closer to butt height.
