Same here DF, though I've seen the Northern Lights when I lived and Alaska and visiting family in Nova Scotia, for New England it was a pretty good year for astronomical events. Swamp Fly 0 Report post Posted October 15 Wow, that is neat. The northern lights are on my bucket list. There where some photos featured on the local news from Lake Placid (Florida), that's about an hour east and another half an hour north from here. Weather guy said go outside right now to see them. All I saw was the glow of Babcock Ranch to the east. Why people want to "move to the country" and pave it over, put up stadium lights, and then start measuring the neighbors lawn to see if it's in compliance is just beyond me. Cowboy boots are to keep the cow poop from squishing up between your toes, not a fashion statement. I'll get to see them eventually even if I have to go visit Mark up in AK, not that a trip up there would be bad regardless of the ionospheric fireworks. Inside working, cloudy weather, a comfortable bar stool or just plain forgetting to go outside and look. I would always seem to find out about them the next day. These days with my wife being active on social media we knew right away it was happening with dozens of people letting her know they were visible, so I guess FB isn't all bad?
