Seeing as I had lunch (ribs) with fishingbob yesterday and picked up this set of flies, I’m in total agreement with him… you all are going to love em. Nice work by all tiers, and huge thanks to Bob for another annual success!

I hope you guys can forgive me, but do to some sudden breathing problems I was unable to get to the Post Office. I hope to be well enough tomorrow, but your flies may not get there before Christmas.

Forgive What?  No really Bob: take a moment.  You're amongst friends.  You matter.  Thank you for hosting.

That whole wellness/full function (or whatever they mean) thing eludes a lot of us folks (aging or otherwise) to some degree or another.  To whit, simply breathing is so often taken for granted.  People just take breaths without thinking about it.  Imagine that.  Those who take it for granted are clueless.  For now. 

For them I say, try it: not being able to breath that is; see how it works out for you.

However, we know you and you are no slacker. You should know that we see that. You're good. Stay strong. You're amongst friends.

Agreed with everyone else, Bob. Your health and well-being come first!

Besides, my flies were the holdup. I guess I should have specified USPS air, rail, or truck. Didn’t know “pack mule, 2-week minimum” was the default.

Ok guys, just got back from the post office. This has been an adventure. I had (I thought) all the envelopes sorted and packaged. I was down to the last one when I discovered Trouttramp's were still in his box. So I unsealed all your packages and added his flies. 

I smoked for around 40 years and quit about 30 years ago, but the smoke has caught up with me. Pretty much been down since Wednesday, including a trip to my doc. Thanks for putting up with me.

PM me for tracking number, looks like most are due Friday or Saturday.

thanks for the efforts. I'm all too familiar with the cutting open and resealing packages. As for smoking I only smoked for about 15 years, then quit over 45 years ago. I still ended up with COPD and need oxygen on and off, especially at night and if I do more strenuous than the dishes. Fortunately I can still fly tie without oxy but not much else. I am both a pessimist and a realist and realize the time for me to have a big tackle sale is next spring. From years of trout fishing, years of Lake Superior fishing, years of bass tournaments, musky fishing, walleye fishing and about anything else that swims between MN and OK I've done it and just accumulated the tackle along the way. Hang tough and there are some good inhalers and nebulizer treatments that make day to day living and breathing easier.

Oh, One other thing; my late wife was a quilter, and in your package is a quilted coaster for your tying table. She loved seeing all the flies when a swap was returned. Hope you like them.

Reading that just put a tear in my eye. I will clean off and reserve prime spot on my tying bench for it.

I also smoked probably 18 years and at the end 2 packs a day. On November 12, 1981 I was at church praying and the Lord delivered me from the habit it was amazing.
