DFoster 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2024 Nice flies this month everyone! Locally the trout seem to be focused on small midges. These are simple and fast. Not exactly classic salmon flies but they do catch fish. Essentially a peacock quill midge pattern but without U.V. on the abdomen. I only lightly strip the quill leaving fuzz on the edge. Then use non touching wraps so the thread shows. FUZZY MIDGE HOOK: #18 CURVED NYMPH THREAD: 8/0 BLACK or any color you like. UNDER BODY: .015 WIRE (THORAX) ABDOMEN/BODY: PEACOCK QUILL, ANY COLOR- LIGHTLY STRIPED AND USE NON TOUCHING WRAPS OVER CEMENT. THORAX: PEACOCK HEAD: S.H.H.A.N.
