vicrider 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2024 Overall this year has not been the biggest turnout but has been the best sets of quality flies and boxes we've ever had. You might think that since I've done this several years I'd get better at wrapping gifts but I haven't. Lots of tape is my normal mode of covering the boxes and it gets torn off anyway. One thing of note is that you should make note of who the gift is from since I know several were not identified inside when I wrapped them. I think I have all the pics and will try to pick up where I left off on last thread and finish with an under the tree shot. There was one special item came in I will picture but that is not going out on regular swaps but is to go to some club for their auction in the name of Cencalfly and FTF. Fantastic work. Okay, somehow I lost my edited words of wisdom. Just wanted to say to take note on gift who it is from because I know a lot are not identified inside. As far as the extra goodies I sorted them out and if something you sent in is in the gift package it is pure chance and everybody gets very similar packages. If you get an extra package from Santa I packaged a few of mine I will never get to use and sent them out with the real boxes. Now comes the switching and packing part, and I don't like it. I try to keep things for what I hope you'll like but I've found all I can really do is put the trout boxes in one pile and pick them out and send them on their way. A lot times it's a cross trade but not always. Just remember it's Christmas, everybody did a great job and just enjoy opening some cool gifts. vicrider 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2024 Thanks Woodenlegs. I didn't notice until after I'd taken the picture and posted it after editing that the package right in the center has a large trout's head breaking water. Or maybe better said he's trying to break out of the wrapper. I had to go and check for a tear in wrapping but it's just how the fold of paper and illustration came out. Kind of cool though the head breaking out of the package.
