Fruitrollup 0 Report post Posted January 2 Mini Emerger Hook- Curved Hook, 2x Short, 2x gape, TMC 2487, or a FM 5027 size 20 Thread- 12/0 (50DN) waxed Tail - CDL or hen hackle Rib - Wire, small Body - Thread Wing Case - Med. Holo Flash or Mirage Tinsel Thorax - Dubbing, Ice Dub Squirrel blend Legs - Midge Body Thread It is not quite a Garcia’s Darth Baetis, in that I do not put epoxy on the body, which he believes is a big differentiator with other flies having a mere thread body. Squeezy 0 Report post Posted January 2 Been away for quite a while due to some personal reasons... At the ripe age of 37, I hit a rock bottom and am back on the right path with my life. Forgot how much joy tying flies brought me until I just recently got everything out and set up my "tying station" again. Here is one of the hoppers I tied just after the ball dropped for 2025. Size 12 Hook, 140 denier thread, dark green dubbing, brown/yellow foam, deer hair (I believe), brown rubber legs.
