I got a delayed Christmas gift from my wonderful wife and it showed a different recipe than the first version I tied. This one is tied per the recipe is the book Couple minor adjustments I would make but I’m ready to move on in the series now. Grey Rover This is the original full dressing: Tag: Silver twist & red floss Tail: Golden pheasant crest, sprigs of ibis*, gallina, Butt: Green peacock herl Body: In two sections, Is strip of grey quill taken from lower part of stem of blue or red macaw tail feather, & wound over yellow floss, showing rib of quill, butted grizzly hackle & green peacock herl, 2nd grey monkey fur**, ribs flat silver & twist Hackle: Grizzly & blue guinea fowl shoulder Wing: Light mottled turkey, yellow, red, green swan***, bustard, golden pheasant tail, pintail, guinea fowl, mallard, golden pheasant crest Cheeks: Kingfisher Horns: Blue macaw *ibis subbed with dyed goose ** monkey subbed with mixed black and white angora *** swan subbed with Turkey Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
