Murdich Minnow Swap Update

Recommended Posts

Bryon,

They look great and it looks like you will be the first one in. I was planning on it being me, but the recent snow storm and resultant soreness has put me down for a few days.

Thanks Tom - being in western Michigan, we probably haven't had quite as much snow as you guys have had this year, but there's still been WAY more than we've had for the last couple of winters. I'm right there with you on what snow really translates to: delay and soreness 😄 Hope you're feeling better soon!

A beautiful set from Bryon arrived today. When they are all here, I will post a picture of the complete set.

I tied 10. The best 7 go to the swap and I will put the other three in my box. If everyone gets them to me early, I will get them out right away. With the potential bad news of this site going dark, make sure you have my address.

Mine will go out tomorrow but I'm going to apologize beforehand. The last few months have not been good and last 10 days I've been on home administered IV antibiotic. When they talk about antibiotic resistant bacteria listen to them. It's out there and hopefully this round of IV has done what oral couldn't do. Find out tomorrow.

Anyway, I have not been tying much lately and when I went to start this run I realized I was out of most of what was called for in videos. I then found one with marabou and had enough of that in purple to do 8. Found out I'd donated most of my flash to school tying class and Christmas bonus bags and never replaced so had to scrounge some different colors to fill them out. I also found out my superglue would not hold the eyes in place so I included a set of eyes with the flies and if you have a way to put them on they are they but the only one I tried I ruined trying to get it to hold with UV cement and just made a mess. So if this should wind up being one of our last swaps I went out with a flop but went out trying to do something that will be used. I have found purple to be a good color on dark days in jigs and worms so will try this when I can get out and walk again.
