DWSmith 0 Report post Posted March 9 My pond thawed a few days ago! Due to my back issue I have neglected my pond for a couple of years BUT I hired a guy that's coming out tomorrow to cut down and remove the dead cattails from around my pond. That means I'll have access again from the bank and with the boat. I'll spray the new growth as it begins popping up and try to keep things under control like I used to. At least that's the current plan. I hope he does a great job. I think I will soon be able to get my little jon boat on the water and begin fishing again. Wish me luck! gadabout 0 Report post Posted March 9 Good luck! It’s been a long winter. Can’t wait to get out and cast to actual fish.
niveker 0 Report post Posted March 10 Certainly something to look forward to. I used to live just a few houses aways from a small private lake, I could be wetting a line less than 3 minutes from my front door - sure do miss it.

DWSmith 0 Report post Posted March 10 The guy is out there now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. We had blizzard conditions one day last week. Today they're forecasting possibly 75°F for the high! He has a good day to work.
