Pattern for a Michigan Wiggler

Recommended Posts

I just saw a post on another board that someone used a "Michigan Wiggler" on my local river (Cattaraugus Creek in WNY) and had 16 hits out of 20 casts using this. Anyone have a pattern for this? :dunno:

I use the "wiggler" a lot on the Salmon river.. think it is one of the most overlooked fly there.. pretty much when all else fails i can get pretty good luck with the "wiggler" or Teeny Nymph.. Don't be afraid to tie them all the way down to 14..

Be careful not to confuse the "springs wiggler" with the "wiggler", they are two entirely different things.

A springs wiggler is a colored steelhead fly, where as a "Wiggler" is just a lose term for a hex nymph.
