Guest Report post Posted January 7, 2006 Well I have begun the daunting task of photographing the flies for the contest and I am completely amazed at what I have seen so far. I have only gotten through 5 packages and I am just shocked at some of the flies that I have just photograhed, just unbelievable. Also out of those packages included one from Russia and one from Romania...very cool stuff. I'm gonna work around the clock this weekend to see how far I can get. I know more packages will trickle in next week so I will still have to wait until the all arrive before I post the voting booth.

CapeBSalar 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 Awesome Will!! Don't drink too much coffee. I can't wait to see the flies! I sent mine out on the 30th so I doubt they are there yet. Hopefully you get a good # of packages this year. Keep us posted
Guest Report post Posted January 7, 2006 So far I have photographed 15 sets for a total of 43 flies. Out of this small sample so far I have seen some amazing realistics, beautiful salmon flies and some tiny flies that I can barely get ahold of with my hook keeper. By far the most popular category is the trout nymphs. If I had to guess, I would say we won't have as many flies as last year but the quality of every fly is much higher. That's a good trade. Coffee? Let's just say I would want to have tied the flies once I get down to that last beer in the fridge :hyst: :hyst:
