SMALL MOUSE BIG PREDATOR

Hello

 

I am finishing up tying up mice patterns for a friend of mine who is heading out to Hudson bay for some big brook trout fishing.

 

I decided to share with you this pattern of mine

 

Material needed

 

DEER SKIN

SIZE 1 Hook

UNI thread 6/0 black

good scissors

head cement

black waterproof marker

dubbing

Nice NICE MICE-->>Manitou,

The tail and ears look like a peice of Finished up Deer Hide that you might of used all the hair off of,Wright or Wrong ??? If so -->> Good thinkin!!!!!!!!

YEs you are correct this is a great way to use up old deer skin they make great ears and tail and with fur on them is a plus for realism

 

The fly dope bottle is very old and i use it to put some head cement

That is what I was talking about when I said big brookies. About the only thing mice are good for around here is largemouth bass or the occasional Esox

Where were theese pictures takin - may I ask????

I've only landed 2 - 7 inchers and that was up by Mammoth Mountain in California back in 1987....

 

I helped Drill the Holes for the Ski-Lift Stands and 2 WaterWells while there sure miss that as well as the fishin

Thanks man,

I'm almost 50 yrs,old and have never heard that term .... That's one my dream fish is a giant Musky;

We have here in Texas only Chain-Pickeral or as we call em Jack-Fish mostly in East Texas Caddo lake is a hot-spot in January and Febuary - has to be really cold before they turn on ...

They're like bullets comin out from the cyprus roots...Please Forgive me for gettin off Topic
