The family had a bait shop in Muskegon Mi.I used to stop in every time we went to the cottage. At the time it was the best shop in West Michigan. I think the fly has been around since the 70's.

i just tied one of those using gray squirrel tail, brown hakcle, and chartruse chenille. looks like it will rock for bluegill :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: B) :bugeyes:

I agree-they look like cracklebacks, but with pheasant tail fibers instead of peacock herl pulled over the back. Or could be turkey feathers-hard to tell.

I just read this awesome tutorial, and I can't wait to go home and tie these. It is simple, but sweet. :headbang: :yahoo: :headbang:

I agree with that.

I think that I will substitute Snowshoe Rabbit for the Squirrel and a dry fly hook for the wet fly hook.

It looks like a fish getter in either style.
