One Reason to deal with J Stockard's......... SERVICE!

Last month I placed two orders on the same day. One from J Stockard's and one from another online store. I have always dealt with J Stockard's, but this time I decided to split the order since the other place had cheaper prices on some of their items. Well that cheaper price cost me in service.

I recieved the order from J Stockards in a timely fashion.

I emailed the other company on the 15th. The guy emailed me back and said he would check into it. The 16th he emailed me and said it was shipping that day.

The 22nd still no order. He emails me back and said it's going out on the 23rd but there are two back orders on some rabbit strips but says he will send everything else.

The 28th rolls around and still no package so I emailed him back. He tells me he will send the package Priority.

The 31st I finally get the package, but it's missing over half of the stuff and there is alot of stuff that is not right and I have extras. I then email him back and tell him what I need and what is wrong with the order and ask him about the extras. He emails me and tells me he will take care of it over the weekend and for me to call him.

On the 3rd of this month I called him. He tells me they are packing my order and that he wants the extras back and the invoice so he could see who packed it. He is going to credit me $5.00 for being honest about the extras, which I told him was not needed. He tells me the package will go out that day. I looked at the invoice and guess who packed it..... yep he did and even signed an apology to me about not getting the order out quick enough.

Here it is the 7th and still no package. I have recieved an order from J. Stockard, visited 3 different fly shops and went to a fly tying convetion where they had vendors.

I order sometimes because it's quicker. I could have ordered it all from J Stockard's and been money ahead since I could have already been tying.

 

I WILL NOT DISCLOSE THE NAME OF THE PLACE SO DON'T EVEN ASK! This was more about J. Stockard's having great service than it was about ranting about the other company. Never had a problem with J. Stockard's and I am sorry for using another company. Sometimes it's better to pay a bit higher price for something and get great service than it is to pay a cheaper price and get bad service.

 

Keep up the great work J. Stockard's and thanks for being a sponser for this great site. :headbang:

I have nothing but good to say about J. Stockards service, they are the best place I have ever dealt with, thanks J. Stockard.

I think you have a responsibility to name the company in fact. Let them know you have posted and allow them to respond for all to see. I am not sure what the site administrators would think of that though. I am not asking you to tell me (I rarely order from the US in fact because of customs troubles and the difficulty in returns if something goes wrong) but I believe it would be good for others who do.

JS has always been good to me! I do shop religiously at my local fly shops, but there are materials that they don't have in stock that JS does. If I am in need of the product I always get it faster through JS than even my local flyshops that iknow me by name! I would always recomend JS!

I think you have a responsibility to name the company in fact. Let them know you have posted and allow them to respond for all to see. I am not sure what the site administrators would think of that though. Well I see it differently. We are all going to have different experiences....... good, bad or whatever with different places. I was telling a story of a good experience and giving an example of a bad experience. Some people have had great experience with the place I had bad experience with and by posting the name we would probably get alot of responses saying they have had good experience there so it would do no good to post the name.

We are going to shop where we want to shop, but without me putting the name of the company I don't give them free advertsing. Which is what it would be since my experience won't effect anyone's choice either way. If someone has never heard of the company I then bring them into the light which is not what I want to do, and will not do.

 

A little story:

My parents travel alot and go to casinos quite a bit. One day they felt they had been ripped at one casino. They went on and said how they would never do business with casino X again. For along while they ranted about casino X. Well one day someone asked me about casinos my parents went to and the only name of a casino that I could remember them visiting was casino X. So I sent these folks to casino X since I didn't know of any other casinos they went to. Had my parents raved about the casino they got good service from instead of the bad, then I wold have been able to send these folks to a good casino instead of a bad one.

 

Another story:

Awhile back on another forum there was a post about a certain anti-gun film by a certain film maker. Now before this post I never knew who this film maker was and had no clue about the movie. So these folks are telling everyone not to go see this film. The posts goes to like 8 pages of nothing but talking about this film. So now I want to see this movie since it has paked my intrest. So I rented it. I watched the movie and though I didn't care too much it. I rented his next one as well. Now had these folks never brought it up I might have never known who this film was. I rented this guy's movie twice just because someone had to make a big stink about it.

 

Bad advertisement is better than no advertisement at all. B)

 

The only name you need to remember from this post is J. Stockard's because this is the only name I will post on it.

I'd get the materials in your hands first before doing something like that :lol: I have only dealt with J Stockard once and was honestly giddy about how well the service was, and will do buisness with them over any other online store whenever possible

J Stockard kicks some serious butt!

 

with all the email deals they send you, and the reward points, I have not had to pay shipping much at all. AND, it comes in under a week!

YES, two thumbs up for J. Stockard! The service is amazingly fast and very professional. I highly recommend them for those who shop online.

Haven't dealt with J. Stockard yet, but references to their good service have convinced me to go to them the next time I can't get something through my local shop, the owner of which is great about ordering what he doesn't have on hadn.

 

Good service is one of the big reasons I do business with my local shop.

Service that can't be beat!! I have ordered from J.Stockards many times and have always been extremely happy with their prices and their service. I recently ordered numerous items including 2 sets of their Furry foam from last month's specials but only received one set, I sent an e-mail and had the additional set in my hands in two days along with a nice apology and a certificate for free shipping on my next order. This was the first time I have ever had any mistakes dealing with them and I was delighted in the way they handeled the mix up. To make a mistake is human we all do it, what's important is what you do to correct it and J.Stockard has proven to me once again that they are the right company to get my tying supply money.

I concur, J.Stockards service is excellent. I have used other shops online that are no where near the quality and service of Stockards.

James @ JS is great. If they dont have it he lets you know right away. And they keep you updated as to the order status as soon as it ships or BO expected to ship date. They also have a GREAT selection of EP fiber.
