Good Day,

Ok D5, redwings, ridderbos and sage.... here is the silly pic I told you about during our tying/porn (fish porn that is) session plus a little manistee early run salmon. I am still not sure ofthe weight as the guy who weighed the fish I was holding used a sping scale... and just think, only 3-4 months till the early salmon... hehehehe.

Good Day,

Thanks D5...

I was sure I was going to get from you for either my bandana, so stylish around the neck, or my "Mr. Green Jeans" waders...

You know, I have seen salmon as far up as Old Grade Campground/Luther area on the Little Manistee as early as July 4th! Not that I would be out specificly looking for them however.

But, in talking with other fisherman, the consensus seems to be that Salmon (more so kings than coho) and steelhead have slowly been expanding their pressence in our streams. I have seen kings spawning as late as mid December and as early as August. About 2-3 Novembers ago I was fishing with a guy on the east side on the Grand River (Michigan) at 6ht st on a nasty November day. High in the 20's, a stiff wind, and snow squalls. I'll be damned if he didn't land a nice bright silver king hen full of eggs! A few years ago I came across a large pod of steelhead in tiny 10' wide headwaters on June 6th actively spawning!
