Thanks Day5 and Bud,

 

I now realize the front claw-legs should have been tyed under the hook, same as the other legs. Second try will be better.

I did a new tail, not quite sure of the colours yet. First made it green then attached it to the next hook and made it sort of steel grey/olive. Don't look to hard on the body, just experiments so far.

your scorpion looks great. I bet the second one will look even better, they always do.

 

I made a big mistake on the first one I made (the photo I added to this thread). I did fix it on the second one. Nobody has seemed to notice the mistake so all is good.

Thanks fly time and vises, I had fun with this one. I'm thinking on the next one I'll cover the foam on the body and legs with raffia and try to make it more detailed. The hard part lately is finding time for tying.
