fly fisher09 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2006 I tied one yesterday with elk hair replacing the wing.I tested it today and found that it tends to float higher and longer than the hackle wing.If you tie it this way dont use to much hair because it then just looks like a clump of material.I caught 2 little brooks and a smallmouth so i think it works pretty good.Thanks for the tip siesta fred.nice name by the way.
