steelie 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2006 Good Day, How about a few bass flies I have been working on? They are all on 1/0 hooks. Silver heads are heavy. Purple head is light aluminum for slow sink. Although intended for bass, I think they could also be effective for browns, pike, and skams. Olive cross cut rabbit with UV polar chenile wrapped with the rabbit at the same time. Big boy zonker strip with same UV chenille palmered underneath. Big boy Zonker Strip, hackle flash (Orvis) round rubber legs, woolhead dubbing (hareline) flat end tungsten hourglass eyes (j stockard) and holographic eyes. Purple rabbit strip, hackle flash, cross cut rabbit cerise, rubber legs purple fade to pink, cross cut rabbit purple, purple anondized aluminum head. Bruce Derington 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2006 I don't need t o fish these to tell you they'de work on St. Clair, we've tried similar patterns there and found them to be quite effective. Purple is the sh..t, it always catches fish. These are perfect for small mouth and would definately call in some browns(maybe alittle longer) Very nice
flypimp 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2006 Great flies, they would work great on the Snake River in Idaho.
