It's another fishable

This is actually a very modified version of the hatching Mayfly feautered in Steve Thorntons CD/BOOK "Listen to the river. My version floats like a mad man and is much quicker to tie.... but I still consider Steve's original a far more beautiful fly than my version.

Thanks Joe! It has happened that the line kinda messes up the tails, but normally though it works just fine. It has a habbit of sometimes landing up side down on the surface but with a little twist of the line it pops over to the right side :)

Good Day,

Nice work Uffe. That should be a killer. I tie something somewhat similar but I tie the foam under the parachute and have a taller, usually synthetic, wing. Probably makes no difference...

Thanks Steelie, I have done it with a poly yarn wing aswell, the foam pieces "left overs" from the unsinkable technique sticking up from the thorax actually has only one purpose for the non-winged version, just there to make me see it better :)
