MTtyer 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 That's just a quill...striped from a cheap tan streamer hackle (the unusable stuff). I just trim the trailing shuck material into sort of a funnel shape and leave a thin little center piece to tie in with. Oh yeah, soak the quill for a bit before winding it on and it will have less of a tendency to split. Biots work very good too for producing thin segmented bodies.
