I don't know what it is, but it looks like some type of caddis, and except for the wing looks like a cross between a Trude & Fluttering Caddis.

 

I'm sure I've seen this fly somewhere, but can't place it.

OSD you know I can't figure this stuff out without some hints! My google searches for "Yellow Fly" hasn't produced anything yet biggrin.gif

Hint the color yellow is part of the name of this fly

and yes big daddy its a stone fly attractor but we need the name.

thought it was a Yellow Sally...kinda like the style my grandfather used to tie, but wasn't sure and then the fellas beat me to the punch!!!!!
