Inconnu 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2006 A few years ago a friend of mine who had just begun tying, bought a Danvise or Norvise? Sorry I am sort of vise illiterate. It could wrap wire on a hook shank like nodody's business and he came up with a black and red wire body. His last name is Mann so I called his pattern a Mann's Midge. I took the colour scheme and adapted it to my crude rotary vise and did this, though the purple was my preferred colour, which I am sure is not a first or may be copying any one of a hundred other patterns, but I like this one so I named it after him. This way I can blame him if someone accuses me of plagerism.
