Guest Report post Posted February 21, 2004 Hi Bryan Many years ago, I lived north of Pittsburgh, on the Allegheny River. A small Town, called Schenley. Went to high school in Leechburg. Is the Allegheny fishable, years ago the rivers were badly polluted. I'm still a Steeler fan, even though I live here in Southern California. You can take the boy out of the country etc. Penna. is a great place, as well as this neck of the woods. Lots of fishing in both areas. Have a good one. Pat Carroll

Bryanfly15 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2004 Hello there P.C. and yes the Allegheny is fishable. It has been for as long as I can remeber. I have been fishing it for the last 15 yrs, mainly north of the city. I am hearing that they are working on holding a BASS Masters tourny here soon; work in progress. But now I have put away the spinning rods and learning the fly fishing game. How is the weather out there? Probably nothing like back here.
Guest Report post Posted February 23, 2004 Bryan, I think I know you. You belong to TCTC ? Tie on Monday nights at the Slovak club ? I used to stop in once in awhile to tease Don, and Joe ! In fact I'll be there tonight.
Dble Haul 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2004 QUOTE (Bear Coat @ Feb 21 2004, 12:02 PM) West Central Ohio here. I am a Big Time Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Browns fan. You must also be a masochist. I live in Connecticut, where college basketball (mens and womens) reigns supreme in the hearts of sports fans. Go Huskies!? J Desjardins 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2004 Mark, your slightly off. It's not college basketball its UCONN BASKETBALL that reigns supreme in Connecticut. Who cares what happens to any of the other division 1 teams in the state. At least thats my observation from having grown up there and graduated from UConn durring years of less successful teams. Bryanfly15 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2004 J. Johnson, I am a member of the TCTC (just resigned as president, but still sit on the board). Yes I try to tie at the slovak club, and I will be there tonight. I am sorry I don't remember you, but if you are there I might recognize the face AND I WILL BUY YOU A COLD BEVERAGE
Bryanfly15 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2004 AS FOR YOU UCONN JUNKIES - DID SOMEONE SAY PITT PANTHERS LEAD THE BIG EAST? I BELIEVE THEY DO
J Desjardins 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2004 Bryan, Bryan, Bryan enjoy it now, for Pitt will choke in the tournament championship and lose in the first round of the NCAA's. All kidding aside I think that too much emphasis is put on atheletics at UConn, and I think that from Marks winks that he agrees.
Bryanfly15 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2004 I hear ya. I am a high school math teacher and I do see it at the high school level. We will see about Pitt choking I give Uconn some props, they have a solid men and women's team. Sorry to the rest of you for talking football and hoops. I should know better when there is a wonderful site devoted to fishing; my passion. I am going to tie flies with friends tonight and drink a few cold ones; anyone want to come? Guest Report post Posted February 25, 2004 I have to be a little cautious cause, well, I got the cops after me. And the Army. A Nazi group, a Country Western group, this club owner and a seriously ticked-off ex-fiance. I will say I can see downtown from my front porch. Well, I could if it wasn't for the apartment building across the street. Until I get this favor done for this Nun, I've gotta play it low.
