There are a lot of tricks that you can do to a web sit to make it more advantageous for google to pull and use higher in their search lists. This is one of them. J. R. Caddick 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2007 Actually once you get crawled for the first time then different parts of your site will be crawled almost daily. I usually check my traffic logs every day and there are very few times when a google bot hasn't showed up in them, mind you my site is 178 pages so that might be why i see the bots so often. Alex C. 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2007 Yeah I see them all the time too on mine, even now. The biggest thing is your meta tags. If you search realistic flies on MSN Search, my site comes up first. As a matter of fact, it still does now even though I deleted that page a month ago and am using a different address for my realistic flies now and haven't put my Meta tags back in yet. I got some great advice from a friend here on how to tweak things and get higher search rankings and it they really paid off. stony 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2007 And also, contrary to popular belief, your meta tags don't have the same effect that they once did. At least not on google who has approximately over 60% of all search engine users. It's all based on relevance and key words within the site now. Your link is extremely important too. I always wonder when I see some one ask about a patterns here and I have a hit from google at or around the same time of day for that pattern if it is the same person.
