Something to challenge you ..

I just had a little idea for a challenge, anything with an egg in it >> with your own twist ..

Huh .. it just hit me, witch came first the chicken or the egg.... dinosaurs lived :cheers: way before the chicken and they layed eggs.. :o :blink: well im gonna lay of the sauce for awhile :cheers:

I'm gonna have to appoligize for this before any one starts askin for a recipe... that is a real egg

hmmm...my guess is it would snap yer rod in half on the back cast!!!!!! :bugeyes: :P

 

so whats this challenge...do we have to use a real egg? or like make a salmon egg fly type dealio?

Any style of salmon or steelhead egg pattern .. with a twist of your own tyed in there somewhere .. :cheers:

Here is mine its a little hatch-ling.

 

Hook, Daiichi X510 #8

Thread, black, 8/0 uni

Tag, flat silver tinsel

Tail, white ostrich herl, a few strands, leave tags long and out over eye

Eyes, 20 lb. maxima melted, black marker

Dubbing around eyes, white ostrich herl a few stands figure 8 wrapped. Tags of tail drawn over dubbed eyes and back

Egg, on top a mix of orange and pink/white/bright red congo hair, tied top and bowth sides of shank then wrapped like a parachute post drawn up. On bottom and sides of shank a drop of pink hot glue, let dry.

The congo hair then trimmed to shape.
